About Old Union

The Old Union church of Christ is a humble group of forgiven sinners that loves Jesus and strives to glorify God. We are devoted to becoming more Christ-like and proclaiming the Gospel to others. Our assemblies are focused on worshipping our Heavenly Father and encouraging each other in our Christian walk. We believe that the Bible is the authoritative guide to living a life that pleases God, and we follow the pattern it sets forth for a local church. Our services are simple and straight-forward; we engage in prayer, a capella singing, and Bible-based teaching. Every Sunday, we partake of the Lord's Supper and collect a free-will offering. If you would like to learn more about our worship services, please visit our What to Expect page.

"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Colossians 3:17

We are what most people would call a "small country church." In some ways this is true. When you walk through our doors, you will be treated like a neighbor and friend. All are welcome here! Our membership includes people from different walks of life and all ages, but we work together toward a common goal: honoring God and serving others. We are not as "small" as we used to be though. We have been blessed with growth in numbers over the past few years, and we hope to continue that trend.

"He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."
Ephesians 4:16

The Old Union church of Christ has been a part of Union County for over 180 years. The original eight members met in homes and school buildings from 1840 to 1857 when the first building was constructed. Our current meeting place was built in the early 1900s with additions in the 1950s and 1980s. The church has continued to grow and serve the community over the years.

Now that you know a little about us, we would love the chance to get to know you! We would be honored to have you as a guest at any of our assemblies. Check out our Location & Times page to plan your visit.
